Planned a beach day with the family, took all gear along just in case.
Around 4pm the wind came up and I rigged my 6.2/Techno (#210), not
exactly a wave set up ;-) but hey, the waves were not exactly worthy
of a wave set up, they were mostly ankle slappers.

A bit light on the inside, good just outside the waves, wound up
once you clear the shadow of Bolinas. I was the only one out, so
I was pretty mellow how far I went.

The views were breathtaking. On way out (starboard), you got to
see the city and half moon bay mass of land. On the way back in,
the entire Mt. Tam area was spread in front of you. This time of
the year the green colors are amazing. Lot's of hang gliders were
enjoying the steady mellow wind.

Sailed for about 2 hours, planing 99% of the time. Towards the end
of the session caught a few fun rides, much like on a long board.
Nice bonus session.

I was impressed at how well the Techno was able to turn in the
surf, especially when you consider how big a board it is. I was
stoked to have this board on this day, as it enabled me to play
in the clean ocean waters. Once you have a taste of clean water
and big rolling swells, it can be difficult to sail in the murky
waters of the bay.

Zeev.
