I went jogging today up around third and noticed some nice big piles of
dirt right in the prime parking spots between the handicapped parking
spaces. It seems they're doing levee improvements and the contractors
have the right to put it square in the lot. I was told this will last
for 3 weeks. I have a feeling I haven't seen all the piles they're
going to put there, so I'm not sure how ugly it'll get. I suggested
they put them on the dirt road that's not being used, although of course
they have to get permission from Cal Trans... etc. Just be aware,
parking at third for the next 3 weeks (and maybe longer) may be more
hectic than usual.
