Poked my head out of my apartment about 12:30 on Sunday and noticed what looked
like some breeze. Checked out third and while not blowing hard by any stretch
of the imagination, I figured I could get going w/ my 6.5/105ltr @180lbs., plus
it was high tide so no sandbars.

First run out found me slogging out and back chasing planable wind and simply
going downwind. I decided the fun factor was not very high and was thinking
about just giving up, but then suddenly found planable wind a little ways out.
Got back to the launch planing and decided to keep sailing. Wind kept getting a
little stronger and by 2:00 I was having a blast and was very powered. After a
while the wind seemed to die a bit and I had to go anyway. For a long time it
was just me and the kitesurfers - I think 3 of them. Eventually one other
sailor tried... unfortunately after it started to get lighter.
