[Let's see if this works better on wind_talk. With MS Lookout! Express 5.0,
while typing this new message, I've gone to the "Format" tab and have chosen
"Plain Text". Previously, I was using the only other option, "Rich Text
[HTML]", I guess. I hope my message is readable this time:]

"2000" means a lot to a lot of people, but for me - I want 2000 more
good sessions at Coyote and Third Ave. We're telling you no!, SFO. Keep
the buildings low, Glenborough.

TODAY: 1/1/2000
Unbelievable! GREAT kickoff at Coyote! Greg Harris, Hunt Hyde and a few
others showed up for a real killer bowl game. I wasn't even cold at all,
and I think my dishwashing gloves helped a lot (they're thin so you
don't get tired forearms like with neoprene gloves, but you still don't
get windchill). The chop was nice, the wind was steady. The sun was 1/2
out and it was awe-inspiring.

For me, starting around 3:30, I found the Westerly wind 100% filled in
from the beach all the way out - OVER powered but loving it on a 5.8 and
mid-sized board. The rangers refused to close the park until 5PM, so we
could sail 'til sunset.

If you went to Third Avenue and rigged up your windsurf stuff, you would
have had to just cry. The tide was 0 feet. Meanwhile, at Coyote, the
tide was also 0 feet, which was perfect! It made no difference, it was
so nice. Hmm...

Also, regarding David Nelson's last message. Where he said he'll leave
it to the "SFO activists", substitute these words instead "anyone who is
interested and has a couple hours of time." Everyone can play a part -
David brought the issue to us, maybe someone else will take it from
there... At this point, there's too much to do, and not enough people
looking into things. So if you're concerned about any of this kind of
stuff this year, jump right in...

-George
