Wow, 3rd Ave ripped yesterday, big time. It was just like the days
of old. Plenty of wind and a nice ebb. Sailed 3:00-6:45, 5.2 then
4.7 nicely powered for the ebb, 8'6", 215#.
Lots of great ramps and swell. It was jump and jump, quite a few people
had sore knees afterwards.
Golf ball alert. Saturday I got pegged as I was getting out of the
car on the access road on west side of the nets where the nets are
lowest. Someone was a long hitter and wind must have helped it drift
wide of the nets. Fortunately it hit me in the forearm, but easily could
have much more painful, and is so far my worst windsurfing injury.
