Stiffest booms: I'd have to say Fiberspar carbon. But when you're on small stuff
( < 5.0m ) I haven't noticed much differance between them and Chinook (although
I'm sure I'll get chastised for that one). Durable: Fiberspar has gotten much
better. I know people who used to bread 1 or 2 a year. Now they're lasting 2 or
3 years. I had a Chinook that lasted me about 3 1/2 season and finally
cracked...and I sailed it hard. If you're going with a big sail, I'd got with
the Fiberspar.

But the BIG difference is price: Chinook: about $150. Fiberspar carbon: $450
(Ouch!!!!!)

I love dogs, especially mine that I leave at home. If the regular dogs
would just leave their cars and golf clubs at home, we all would have a lot
less to complain about.

And who makes the best booms (stiffest & most durable), I want to know?

Don
