What good does this do us if we don't have access to Treasure Island to
launch from? Is there going to be any changes in that dept?

Subject: TI Wind Sensor

This notice is on the Call of the Wind forecast page.

IMPORTANT NWS SURVERY: This is our chance to get a Treasure Island NWS
wind sensor. In the future Treasure Island will become one of the best
sailing sites in the Bay Area. It gets winds early in the day and when
it is dead at the beach at Crissy. And it blows late in the season when
Crissy is dead. Huge swell and very strong winds.

The National Weather Service is going to move the useless Point Bonita
wind sensor. They are considering moving the wind sensor from Point
Bonita to the northern end of Treasure Island or Fort Funston.

Please take a moment to write a message requesting a sensor at the
northern end of Treasure Island: nws@mbay.net-DeleteThis
