- The rules of sailboat racing and marine navigation aren't quite
the same and often don't apply well to windsurfing. I've boiled
them down to two simple ones that work for me.

        1. On opposite tack: If my right hand is near the mast
        I have ROW.

        2. On the same tack: If I can see you, it's my job to
        avoid you.

- I think that covers the situation at 3rd pretty well.
