Sure you can loop, but can you lobby?

I have had a low profile lately after years of thrashing on access issues.
Kudos go to George Haye for the tremendous energy he has put into the Coyote
issue, Seal Point and the old Third Ave launch. As George and I can attest, a
body can only do this so long before burnout and real life set in. We need
some others to step in now.

In addition to the Coyote threat, the biggest threat/opportunity facing us
right now is whether we lose the use of the old, unpaved, access road area at
the "new" Third Ave site, or see it become permanent, and hopefully expanded,
overflow parking. It all comes down to someone(s) putting in time meeting
with Foster City, and maybe organizing some letter writing, packing a meeting,
etc.

Also, BCDC has just accepted permit applications for major projects at Oyster
Point and Sierra Point that could mean better access for windsurfing - or not!

Anybody can do this stuff - all it takes is a willingness to contact people
and follow up with questions and comments. There is a strong network available
through SFBA to back you up, but if you do it, expect that it won't happen!
Contact me to get into the Third Ave overflow parking situation or the BCDC
applications, or contact George about helping with Coyote.
