Hello from Tel Aviv. I am in Israel for two and a half weeks. A friend and I
came here to spend a week in Eilat (next week)) to hopfully do some
windsurfing. Today I glanced out my hotel window here in Tel Aviv and what do
I see but windsurfers moving quite fast out on the Mediteranian Sea. So I
hiked down to where they were to go rent a board only to find that other than
in Eilat, there are no organized windsurf rentals in Israel (other than from
private individuals who are very reluctant to rent their equipment with the
waves running the way they were (it reminded me of Mantara Beach). So I had to
pass it up... One of the windsurfers recommended a place called Duhab(?) in
Egypt 140 km from Eilat, so maybe we'll check that out.
