Yes, that is a crappy piece of line. Like my u-joint, this hadn't been
changed in about 2 years when I had my episode at Third on Oct. 6. Both
tendon and line broke. Fortunately, I ditched my rig and caught up with
my board before a gust blew it away. I didn't want to ditch my brand-new
3.9 on its maiden voyage, but self-preservation got the better of me.

If you're changing the tendon, then I'd suggest changing the line too,
but I'm not sure it will do the trick in a really nasty wipeout (mine, an
8' jump landed off-center).
