Saturday. Third. Day3/98. 5.6 NOA & 9" RKT (230#). WOW Lots of
FUN! Amazing
that I lasted 1hr45min before comming in. Old enough now to know
better than go
out for more when I am tired. Sailed from 1:20PM to 3:05PM.
Needed every cm of the 5.6 and tons of board speed to keep planing in
the lulls,
but the good news is the NOA's handled the gusts pretty much like my
old race
sails (that are now sold).
Jim's post reminded me that Coyote can suck when there is a Westerly
component so
I sailed 3rd and was rewarded with a great session and a brand new golf
ball.....Maybe I should wear my helmet while derigging?
Great swells in the channel and it seemed smooth out there considering
the
conditions. Inside was really fun. 5.1 would have been fine the last
hr except
for close inside so I stayed big.
