Here's a sad sory I got off rec.wind:

Sad to say we might of lost another sailer this past week. A body was
found in Grover Beach in Central California on Friday in a sad partially
decomposed state with what authorities speculate is a sailing harness
for either a windsurfer or Catamaran. If anybody knows someone that is
missing please contact the Grover Beach Police Department.

We have been having lots of wind and some epic large surf last week so
this again stresses one's need to sail within your abilities and have a
partner to go for help when something tragic happens so the ultimate
price can be avoided. Seems the sea has claimed another soul. May his
spirit rest in peace.
