A very sad day...... :(
Our windsurfing club had all of its equipment stolen on Wed 8/21/97
from Palo Alto, CA. Police reports have been filed - the value was
well into five digits. :( I assume the thieves will try to sell the
equipment (locally?). I have included a partial equipment list below,
please keep any eye out for any of this equipment at your local
sailing site or shop. If you do see it, please contact me ASAP
(number at bottom).
If you know of any swap meets left in the season, let me know.
Several of the items are very distinguishable. For those of you who
don't have time to wade through the list, the obvious items are :
- Windwing Convertable Sails (1992) with black sail numbers
SUXX. They are the bright lime yellow/green with pink highlites.
(We still has a few that were "saved" by being
repaired so don't attack us at any of the Bay area
sailing sites, but do question the sailors.)
- CFX 8'4" board with very obvious grid pattern of holes (2"
spacing) on the bottom due to the traditional CFX
delamination repair. The board is white with blue
letters.
- Also two BIC Rumbas which have the strange pink graphics
and obvious white marinetex repair on the nose due to boom strikes.
Thanks,
Glen Sapilewski (650-723-5908)
