Tuesday...Sailed from the coast guard station after watching crissy
dwellers do the slog and dog to the wind line...5.5
prisma/xantos/222#/6:15-:30...The "slot" (between the south tower and
ft. point) was blowing but, as usual, coming back into the bay from
outside the gate was a fight in the ebb due to the light wind.
     Whew...head high swells outside!

When the wind comes sw or w as opposed to nw, Chrissy and the Yacht Club
get large wind holes. This makes for challenging conditions as you
would like to have a short board to handle the outside conditions,
but it's a bitch to get out and then back in. As I mentioned in
my previous post, the beach near the old coast guard station gets
wind in these conditions, but never seems to attract the Chrissy
crowd, who persist in slogging/swimming in and out.
