Dear Vlad,
Don't listen to Kirk - he must have a 2.8 he wants to sell you. I
weigh 160, and use my 3.5 only once or twice a year (though I must
admit I have sailed some 3.0 days). A 4.0 is as small a sail as you
should need, though it will be overpowered on occasion. The board, on
the other hand, is too big.
I suggest you wait until you get here to buy anything. Equipment goes
on sale around September, as the season ends sometime in October.

Hi Vlad,
Get a 3.7 and 3.3 for sure and possibly a 2.8. People your size find
there is enough wind on most days to make a 267cm board their regualr
board and go smaller when it gets windy.
I'm 230#, sail 267, 274,285 and 289cm boards and have been really glad I
had my 4.1 sail with the 267cm board. The day I sailed the 4.1, I would
have been better off with a 3.7 too.
I usually sail a 5.5 or 6.5 these days and go for just enough flotation
boardwise to work, but often we get more wind.
Enjoy your stay!
Kirk out
