Thurs/Fri wind and golf
Third was truely epic on Thursday. Sailed 4.0 for an hour, then 3.5.
While rigging my 3.5 I saw a golf ball hit the path between the launches
before bouncing into the bay.
Sailed 3.5 for two hours, then, overpowered and exhaused, called it a day.
Does anyone have a good estimate of the wind strength in the channel?
Friday was 4.0 for me (130#), with a nice swell. That day a golf ball went
over the dog, between the windsurfers and dented the open car door. A police
report was filed.
I don't sail thrid that often (8 days so far this year) but eveytime I see
golf balls where they shouldn't be. Its beginning to make me nervous.
Jerry
