Just thought that I would add my opinion to this discussion.

I upgraded my pager from the Advisor to the Genius about 2 months ago, and I am extremely happy. The reception on the Genius might not be perfect, but I had problems with missing pages on the Advisor too. I am not sure that the Genius is any worse in this department.

In all other areas the Genius is great! I have had absolutely no problems with the pager. The amount of information that it gives is remarkable. I find that being able to look at two days worth of graphs for all the sailing sites, gives you a much better idea about the actual conditions. Also the graphs let you interpolate any pages that you may have missed due to poor reception. In addition to the wind information, you get e-mail, buoy, and tide reports. There are a few glitches, but I am sure that they will be ironed out. I could have sworn that I saw two Queens of Clubs in the same poker hand.

Over all, I think that Jim offers a fantastic service, that enables me to maximize my sailing time. As far as support is concerned, in my experience, Jim has been extremely responsive and concerned with customer satisfaction. If something is wrong, he does his best to fix it at any time. More than once, he reprogrammed my Advisor on a Saturday afternoon. I am definitely sold on Call of the Wind, and in my experience with the Genius pager has been very positive too.

For the record, and because I think Jim gives an overall good service,
let me summarize my history with the Genius so there's no
misunderstanding.
