Has anyone ever sailed Washoe Lake near Reno? I'm planning a trip

  anything else about it.

I used to sail it years ago, but I couldn't imagine sailing it now. It's
a good place to get giarddia , with all the cattle around the area. The
water used to be murky brown and silky feeling, full of sediment. It
does blow pretty heavy there, though. Occasionaly the lake dries up
almost completely but that's not likely this year.

I used to like to sail at Topaz lake which is south on 395 past
Gardnerville. It's usually sailable with a 6.0 and the water is nice and
clean, it's set in between some low mountains with a small casino
conveniently located above the lake. A very nice place to spend the
day.
