Don't konw if you tried this, but when loosing your fin the best way to
get back (eaier than walking/swiming IMO) is to attach your harness to the
back footstrap of your board. This acts like a parachut and alows you to sail
back with enough drag. You arms can get tired quite easily, but I was able
to sail back from the channel at 3rd ave withough too much problem (extend
your arms all the way).

Another thing too look for at Embassy Suites during low tides are the rocks
near the launch which are only a few inches below water. Last time I was
there I cut my foot (7 stiches, ok no booties) thiking it was deaper than
it was. cam too fast in...not enough water to slow down when I stepped down.
