Jim and I scored at Davenport. I was very fully powered on a 4.5 and
my Saxo 265 (200#). However, it was pretty gusty with light winds on
the inside. I sailed the waves at the upper break. The outside was
nuts. Jibing was a real adventure.
Unfortunately, I broke my mast walking out. The beach slopes off
steeply and the tip of my sail got stuck in the outgoing water.
Special thanks to Jim who loaned me his mast.
Any tips on sailing Davenport? What is the lower break like? What are
the hazards?
Thanks.
Justin
