If you are not using a narrow grip boom try using one. I found that
switching to the narrow booms relieved a lot of tension and stress in
the fingers, I have been using them for years. On the other hand if you
are already using a narrow boom try getting a wide one and alternating
them to reduce the repetitive strain. Of course, I am not a doctor so I
am not recommending ignoring medical advice to abstain from sailing.
