Listening to the wind about 1:30 last night, my wife Kate said she was
nervous about the oak tree in our back yard (next to the boys' bedroom).
I grumbled a bit, but we moved the boys to the living room.
I went to sleep. About 2:30 she pokes me, "Did you hear that?". Well
I hadn't, but the branch pointing away from the house had snapped, swung
on its cable back towards the trunk, bounced on the roof of the garage
and landed in the yard 3 feet from the house.
We went and joined the boys in the living room.
