I apologize for this message: I know that this request is redundant.
Can someone please respond with the lists of URL sites relating to
Wind and
Atmospheric data. I am aware of:

NOAA's Weather Service
http://www2.mry.noaa.gov/nwspage/nwshome.html
KPIX Video Cam http://www.kpix.com/faircam/tl.html
Wind_Talk Archive
http://www.crc.ricoh.com/~jackg/wind_talk.cgi
Bay Area Wind Report
http://pangea.stanford.edu/~jouaux/BWR.html

My request should benefit everyone: A reasearcher at USGS (in
collaboration with NOAA) is putting together a URL which would take
ocean sensor data and generate image files for wind and tide data. He
trying to collect as much data as he can from existing work...once it
is complete it will be available for all to use :)

He has another technical request that some of the the technical folks
could answer: how do you generate the sensor data into gif files IN
THE BACKGROUND and leave them in files/directories that can then be
diplayed by users accessing the site? KenP, Francois,....

BTW - the
coast
is
reporting
