Saturday, noonish crossed the San Mateo bridge (3rd looked too good to
drive-by) enroute to, first, dump a couple of Bill's L. repairs at ASD,
then.... we were on a mission to sail Waddell (plus we had to meet/pickup
another sailor @ I-280 & 92). The grind to Half Moon Bay was pretty rough
and I was ready to hang-a-Uie, and head back to 3rd, but, we ..were.. on a
mission... had to do Waddell !

Arrived at 2:30, the water was packed and parking was dicey (almost as bad
as 3rd on a good day). Mostly 5.0s and 4.5s, I don't have much choice in
wave sails, so I was on 4.2 and 8'6" ASD glass(165lbs). Sailed from 3:00 -
6:30pm, great fun, 3 ft. shore break (my best guess) and light wind
inside, and 6 ft. + swell and more wind outside. COTW was reporting 13-26
 20 315 67 22-24-24 @ 4:23. Such a fine day.

Anybody, have any news on the sailor who broke his collar bone (half mile
off shore), some where around 5:00pm? We saw that he made it in, the
paramedics met him way down the beach. I noticed the paramedics carrying
his board, but not his rig. Did he jettison his rig?

Don B.
