I always call the windtalker the night before I plan to do a dawn patrol.
Generally speaking, I find that if it isn't blowing the night berfore, it
probably won't blow in the morning. I get up at 5am and call the windtalker
also. If it is not blowin, I usually go back to bed. I may still miss some
sessions if the wind comes up after I call, however, I doubt if they would be
