Arrived around 3:45 at Sherman Sunday, and people were coming in on
4.0's as the wind was dying. Of course, I didn't notice this until I
got out there on my 4.0. Came in and rigged a 5.0 and was totally
powered - first on my 9' cfx, then had to drop down to the 8'4 Ecstasy
as the ebb got serious. Sailed till the sun went down at 8:15, and had
a great time. Great ramps in the ebb. Spent the night, but even with
two sails rigged on the grass, I was too wasted to sail the dawn
patrol - but at 8:15 when I finally got up to derig, it looked about
4.0-4.5, though COTW was only showing 19.

Driving up, as I passed through San Jose (I started from Scotts
Valley), the pager started showing Waddell at 24, which should have
made Waddell the windiest spot yesterday afternoon. Nothing like
driving 2 hours to get to a place that's less windy than your local
spot. Did anyone sail the coast yesterday?
