I recall reading on rec.windsurfing that because of the efforts of the CGWA
Viento has been reopened to windsurfing. I agree that it probably is noisy
because of the trains. My first Gorge trip I camped at Mamaloose. It was
incredibly NOISY with the train on one side, the interstate on the other side
and wind all night long. Tucker is very quiet and away from the wind, trains
and interstate.

I believe Viento is closed to sailing, since you are no longer allowed to
cross the RR tracks. You might want to veryify that before you pitch a tent.
Also, Viento is very NOISY (trains on one side, an interstate on the other)!
BTW, I'll be driving up (tentively) on July 29, and staying up there for
two weeks. I wouldn't mind joining a caravan going up there.
