Actually, I disagree with that. The bottom slopes down faster than at
Waddell. The waves look small but tend to break rather hard.

But 2 miles upwind at Tubamancha most of the surfs energy is absorbed on the
bars and the shore break is tiny also in places you can stand on the bottom a
hundred yards from shore at Tuba. It has a very shallow bottom profile that
is why the surf breaks so far from shore.
