Subject: Re: surfing/camping around bodega bay?

Hi Andy

Bodega has 3 camping areas right at the launch sites. From the camp sites at
Doran you can sail at Hart's Beach (low tide speed sailing in 1/4" chop, Spud
Point (high wind small chop sailing and Doran Beach ( speed sailing inside,
bump & jump outside and big wave surf sailing at the rock for the foolish).
The best campsites are those with a cypruss tree upwind. The campsites have
all facilities. How windy is it at Bodgea? Watch for "yellow caps" in the
rest rooms.

Windsight has a sensor at Bodega which is dead accurate (menu item 58) You
can also forecast the wind, swell ht. & swell period by checking the buoys,
update hourly, on option 59. When the winds on the coast are strong Bodega
starts blowing about 9am and blasts to dark.
