bars are longer than boards are wide and heavy-duty cords are tensioned pretty
tight and I doubt my epoxy boards are massive enuff to stretch the 'em. plus I
set the verticle spacing tight so I gotta kinda jam the boards in anyway.

your setup also sounds good & inexpensive.
