Kirk made the right call! Those of us in the 200+ catagory were bemoaning
rigging 6.9s after sailing in the low 4s on Thursday. Kirk bailed, I found
some inspiration, and thought I could get something out of my 6.3 race. NOT!
Got in the water at 5:00pm, spent the first 1/2 hour powered, then the wind
seemed to go everywhere I was not. This went on for the next half hour (never
spent so much time schlogging after little guys planning on 6.0s). I began to
see the error of my ways, when Jerome went shuttling by me on his 9'6"/7.3 rig.
Then it shut off, leaving me schlogging in from the channel.

Not one of my more memorable days so far...

Sorry, Ken, I'm gonna have to disaggree with you on this one. The SFO numbers
pretty much aggreed with my lack-luster performance, they might even be a bit
optimistic. At an average of 18 knots, I'm planning on my 6.3. In gusts to 28
or 33 knots, I would have gotten Sarran-wrapped on my 6.3 (I've done it,
not much fun %)
