You guys maybe correct about bringing an uphaul. I'm one of the crazies
that has not used one for the last 3 or 4 years.
I simply take my harness off and tie it te the front of the boom as
emergency uphaul. Works just fine even on my little 8'4". If the wind is
that light, you won't be able to hook in anyway.
This may not work for everyone, so don't let me talk you out of using the
proper safety gear, but it should do the trick if you get caught without
it.
