Pillar Pt harbor in HMB should work fine for you (provided you have the gear
small enuff for these conditions ;-) (three folks I talked to yesterday
(including myself eventually) declined to go out cuz they just didn't have
stuff small enuff).
The harbormaster's ph # is 415-726-5727. You can call them for current
conditions (wind & temp); they were quite helpful this last weekend.
The preferred parking/launch spot seemed to be the little deadend street on the
near side of the big pier in the harbor. The HMB Yacht Club and a Kayak store
are on that street. It's easy to find by following your nose towards the pier
once you turn off of Hwy 1 at the stoplight that's near the top of the hill
next to the harbor.
