I was also at Pillar Pt on Sat, sailed with Schuh for a bit in fact. It was my
first time there and it was nice. relatively flat water in the harbor and nice
long (~mile?) reaches parallel to the breakwater. At times one or two waves
were breaking over it (and the wind was a lot less than yesterday/today). I
ended up on my (ancient) 5.9 as I (150#) got skunked in the holes on my 4.7 (I
passed up the 5.3 in the spirit of overkill). Certainly had a blast! Air temp
was nice, water temp seemed like the bay in early spring. Folks were sailing
there yesterday noonish according to the harbormaster -- and he said it was 30
gusting to 40.

Jeff
