Thinking out loud here, but what about connecting the uphaul from the tip
of the boom to the tip of the board (assuming that you have a towing
connector there. You would need a slightly longer uphaul cord, and a
snap-on fixture, but these are things that you could get.
I can't imagine actually using my uphaul even in very light winds, so at
this point its existence seems almost cosmetic to me. Better to use it for
something useful, like tethering.
