I found a basic shareware program and its source at
ftp://atlantic.ocean.fsu.edu/pub/Tides
I have not tried it yet. I am interested in a Unix version. I
understand that the tides are calculated through curve fits. The basic
source referenced some what I would call obscure sources for what it
was based on. I am uncomfortable taking the shareware source and using
it so if anyone has an easily obtainable reference for the curves, I
would appreciate having it. If I ever get it coded up, I will probably
post source code without restrictions.
