Well, I sailed PA and got stuck on the other side when it
dropped. Slack tide so I practiced my bobbing and back stroke
into some "wind". Managed a waterstart and slogged back.
1hr10min round trip....15-20 in the drink. Wind came up
and had a marginal time for another hour. I was on 6.9/9'6"
and it was blowing 6.2 when I rigged, but felt like going
up to the bridge. ha ha.

Clue for possible marginal days is 0.02 between Sacto and
SFO and predictions of 10-20 W or NW. IF ya have to wait
for better wind, I'd look for a larger pressure differential
and predictions of 15-25.
