The water seems, repeat SEEMS, warmer to me in the winter than
in the summer since the wind chill is such that I often stick
my bare hands in when I'm slammed to warm them up!

I use a Bare 4/3 and a helmet. No gloves and often no booties
unless its in the 40's rather than 50's. My life vest provides
additional wind chill protection. Usually my hands and feet are
what seem the coldest.

It needs to be blowing well over 20 to have a 50/50 chance
of being good when you get there. Even so, I usually go home
dry 50% of the time since the wind often suddenly stops. Also,
if there is alot of rain, HWY 92 can close due to a slide or an
accident (I've seen 2 fatal ones - well, the wrecks of the
accidents, and I'm still looking for my first great white)
