Sorry to post this late, but there is a meeting sponsored by IEEE
today on the next generation of the GOES satellite. The meeting is
at Space Systems/Loral at 7:30, 3825 Fabian Way, Palo Alto, Garden
Room behind Bldg. 3. They will be having a tour of the actual
satellite area after the lecture. You need to bring proof of U.S.
citizenship, like a birth certificate.
I can't go, but if anyone here does go please post a summary. Once
this new version of GOES gets going, we are going to get much higher
resolution weather satellite pictures for the Bay Area.
